Thanks to everyone who came out last week to join us in celebrating the progress that NVRDC has made over the last 3 years in empowering crime victims in DC by providing free, comprehensive legal and case management services to victims of all types of crime in the nation's capital. Since FY2013 we have seen a 23% increase in the number of victims of sexual assault that we've served at the hospital. The number of clients we've represented through our Criminal Legal Advocacy, protecting their rights under the Crime Victims’ Rights Act and the DC Crime Victims’ Rights Bill of Rights, increased by 235%. Additionally, we've seen a 237% increase in the number of clients who received assistance in obtaining Civil Protection Orders through our Civil Legal Advocacy. These are just some of the ways that NVRDC has grown in a short period of time, and none of it would have been possible without the continued generosity and support of our friends, sponsors, and partners like you.
